Marvin’s Story Time Show- for VI and complex needs children

Launched by Gwyn McCormack from Positive Eye, the ‘Marvin’s story time show’ is designed to engage children who are VI and complex needs in story telling and literacy.

A word from the creator!

“I am really keen to reach as many families as possible with the Marvin Story Time Show so that the benefit of this programme is maximised for children.

A recent study has been completed by Professor Rachel Pilling into the impact of the programme on teacher practice and I am hoping this will be published shortly.

I have two Sunday shows running on 12^th and 19^th October at 4pm on ZOOM.  I wondered it was possible to share with your families. It’s such a great programme, not just for story time but it offers a positive approach to develop vision, literacy and engagement skills.

I also have a BSL and an ASL interpreter on the Sunday shows should any of your parents/carers or young people require this access.”

If they miss the live shows, they can watch on the Marvin Story Time Channel, which is also free to access. There are 18 shows available to watch on there. Additionally, they have access to the stories, character images and songs specific to each story on the webpage. (Its password protected and access is given on sign up and registration.)
