This specific series is centred around the importance of concept development when teaching children who have a vision impairment. The ‘Top Ideas’ can be utilised by your child’s educational setting or by a parent wanting to give a little extra help with learning from home.

Idea 19: Story Scenes

The images show story scenes, including a sock puppet cow, a farm scene, animals, vehicles etc.

Create key scenes from the story and make a sock puppet to tell the story. Place against a black screen propped up on the desk and encourage the child to play a part. This story scene is from OTIS about a tractor and a calf.
